McCormack Landscape Architectures is a 100% American Indian-owned landscape architecture based in Lewiston, Idaho. Founder and principal Brian McCormack has gathered a decade of valuable design and project management expertise through his working relationship with nationally and internationally renowned landscape architecture firms in California and Oregon. His work experience in the U.S. includes landscape designs for cultural institutions, resort hotels, recreational facilities, master-planned residential communities, commercial projects and single-family residential landscapes. Additionally, Brian has worked internationally, in Japan, Mexico, and Tahiti, where he was responsible for landscape design, construction documentation and landscape construction management for several recreational facilities and destination resorts.

Brian has designed several successful projects where sensitivity and personal understanding of Native American cultural values and beliefs were instrumental to the overall project concept. He was the senior landscape architect for five of the "in-lieu" fishing sites along the Columbia River that were constructed to provide access areas for the four Columbia River treaty tribes (Nez Perce, Umatilla, Warm Springs and Yakama). He has created several outdoor living environments that have enriched the lives of their users through the use of calm, peaceful landscapes, unique interpretive trails and multiple opportunities for physical activity.

Brian is principal and sole proprietor of McCormack Landscape Architecture (formerly McCormack Landscape Design). He is regularly invited to speak at national conferences and educational gatherings. His presentations on Native American landscape architecture, indigenous plant design, sacred sites and culturally appropriate site planning have been attended by local, tribal and government leaders from throughout the United States.
